Choosing the Right Split AC Capacity

Buying an oversized or undersized AC can lead to high power bills, bad dehumidification, and premature compressor failure. This guide explains how to calculate the tonnage needed for your room in Navi Mumbai.

1. Calculate Room Square Footage

• Under 120 sq ft: 1.0 Ton AC is sufficient.
• 120 to 180 sq ft: 1.5 Ton AC is recommended.
• Above 180 sq ft: 2.0 Ton AC is required.

2. Factor in Sun Exposure & Floor Height

If your room is on the top floor directly under the terrace, or has large west-facing windows that receive direct afternoon heat, increase the calculated capacity by 0.5 Tons to prevent compressor overloading.
